What the site covers

Garden of the Gods is a free city park, owned by the City of Colorado Springs since 1909 and a National Natural Landmark since 1971. Entry needs no ticket, and parking is free, so the site starts from that fact: is it free and the best way to see it explain how to see the park by car, on foot, by bike or on the free summer shuttle, without any tour. What this site is, and is not

It is an independent guide in English, with translated versions. It is not the City of Colorado Springs, which owns and manages the park, and it is not the Garden of the Gods Foundation, the nonprofit that runs the Visitor & Nature Center. It is not a tour operator: it sells nothing itself and cannot book, change or hold a tour, a climbing permit or a Pikes Peak timed-entry permit for anyone.

Climbing rules come from the city’s climbing page, Pikes Peak Highway details from the city’s Pikes Peak Highway page, and Cog Railway details from cograilway.com. Travel details come from Visit Colorado Springs. Some details come from secondary sources such as news reports and reference works; where only a secondary source exists, the wording says so, and where sources disagree, the page gives the city’s figure or a range with its sources. Facts were checked in September 2026.

Details of the six tours, such as duration, meeting point, group size, route, inclusions, languages, age and weight limits and accessibility, are GetYourGuide listing data. What the site does not print
